Dr Jayaseelan is a Consultant Neurologist based at the world renowned National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London and the West Hertfordshire NHS Trust. She sees patients privately in both London and Hertfordshire.

Dr Jayaseelan is able to assess patients with a wide variety of neurological symptoms including headache, seizures, weakness, numbness, dizziness and Parkinson’s disease. Her specialist interest is in neuromuscular disease.

A Neurologist sees patients who have problems with the nervous system, this includes problems with the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.

Common neurological symptoms include headache, numbness, weakness, blackouts, dizziness, tremor, unsteadiness, and memory problems. If you have any of these problems a neurologist may be able to help you.

What happens in the consultation?

Dr Jayaseelan will take a detailed history of your symptoms and any other medical problems. She may also examine your neurological system to help determine the underlying problem and will then formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan.

In some cases you may also need further investigations to confirm the diagnosis. This may include blood tests, imaging or neurophysiology tests.
